The Situation

Nicky was evolving. What started as a yoga-focused offering (formally “Claygate Yoga Clinic”) had grown into something far more layered, including shiatsu, holistic therapies, practitioner partenrships and a more personalised, 1-1 approach. A perfect example of business evolution where the brand just hadn’t caught up.

It still felt:

The experience she was creating for clients was  really strong but the brand just wasn’t communicating it.

The Challenge

We weren’t just designing something new.  

 

We needed to:

Expand the perception of the business beyond yoga

 

Create something that felt calm and grounded, without being generic

 

Build a brand that could grow with her, not box her in

 

This wasn’t about “making it look better”. It was about making it make sense.

The Approach

We stepped back before designing anything.

 

We defined:

What Hikari actually stands for (light, reconnection, balance)

 

The emotional tone (calm, nurturing, quietly confident)

 

The space it sits in (modern, but rooted in traditional practices)

 

From there, the visual direction had meaning.

The Result

The brand now:

Reflects the full depth of Nicky’s work

Feels aligned, calm, and credible

Creates a stronger first impression both online and in-person

It’s no longer seen as “just yoga”. It’s a considered, holistic wellbeing brand.
